Downlight Installation
Downlights can refresh a room or replace older fittings. An electrician can assess placement, existing wiring and the ceiling space before installation.
When to ask for help
- You are updating a room’s lighting or replacing unsuitable or damaged fittings.
- A renovation changes the room layout and needs a new lighting plan.
What to include in your job post
- State the number of rooms, approximate fitting count and whether you have selected lights already.
- Share photos of the ceiling and say if roof-space access is straightforward.
What can affect the scope
- Existing wiring, insulation, dimmers and access above the ceiling can affect the installation.
- Repairs to ceiling linings or painting may be separate work after electrical installation.
